Black female attorneys only account for 2% of all attorneys in the The United States. There are similar unique struggles that these Women of Color go through, existing within male dominated fields. White Coats & Gavels causes the intersection of these two powerful minority groups to collaborate professionally and bond personally via an online forum as well as exclusive in-person mixers. Most recently on HLN as their COVID-19 expert. Along with practicing comprehensive integrative primary care medicine, she teaches young resident physicians and enjoys motivational speaking. When she isn’t doctoring or appearing on national TV she is modeling, playing basketball or active with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She currently is a model bride in the 2022 Georgia Bridal Runway Show Tour and she plays basketball in a women’s league for former college athletes who still enjoy the game. Dr. Jones has the gift to galvanize people for a greater cause. She saw the need to bring doctors and lawyers together, so she formed the idea of White Coats and Gavels in 2019 and brought the vision to fruition in 2020. The vision was accelerated during the pandemic where the world was scared and in this forum we could embrace. The vision is expanding to a non-profit arm and new chapters around the country in 2022.
